Pro-KCLS government officials retracted the numbers they had been using as an argument to have KCLS takeover our library system. The City of Renton want’s to free up $1.8 million of their budget by having KCLS charge us $4.97 million to run our libraries. They tried to make KCLS look less expensive by comparing the costs of KCLS with running the Renton Library and following the Renton Library Master Plan that calls for increased spending.
