The knew they were lying

We came into possession of a very early draft of the Renton City Library FAQ/Flyer. The fascinating thing about it, is that the few facts that are in it are MORE accurate than the eventually published FAQ/Flyer. Let’s contrast the truths found in the earlier version with the falsehoods found in the published documents

4: Looking at the KCLS 2010 operating budget of $82.4 million at the current tax rate, the "more that 90 million" in the library FAQ would have certainly required the KCLS levy lid increase to $.50. and not the $.42 presented in the City’s FAQ.
| Reality | Truth in Draft FAQ/Flyer | Falsehood in Published FAQ/Flyer |
| From KCLS: “3.6 million individual library items” 1 | “Collection of more than 3.6 million items” | “more than four million items” |
| 2009: “$88,454,573” 2 | “Operating budget of more than $80 million” | “more than $90 million” 4 |
| “Seattle, Renton, Enumclaw” 3 | “in all cities but Seattle, Enumclaw and Renton” | “Renton and Enumclaw are the only two cities” |
